This ongoing Meisner course is all about getting the actor back to the ground work of acting - self. Working from the truth of yourself and your own emotional life that lives inside you: your joy, your rage, your sense of play. You’ll learn to paint portraits of other people through character work, while still using your own authentic truth and inner life.
Meisner is the beginning of all acting. It guides you to the truth of yourself and demands you work from this level of sharp listening, moment to unanticipated moment. Through word repetitions and improv, your blocks will fade and you will begin to live truthfully in the moment. It’s the unlocking of any cage an actor may find themselves in and the freedom to breathe in a scene.

Art-driven from a young age, she first realized she wanted to act after watching the movie ‘Titanic’, where she was so moved by the dramatic story that she wanted to touch others in the same way.
