This two-day intensive workshop is designed for the intermediate/advanced actor
to explore and develop their own acting process in an incremental and fast-paced way.
You'll then put this new technique into practice with in-depth, individual instruction
from Gabriel and Avan through scene work both off and on-camera.

This is an intermediate to advanced level workshop for interested, qualified actors with experience.

This is a process-driven intensive focused on world and relationship building through moment
to moment work and navigating the psychological and emotional topography of a scene.
Gabriel Carter is an actor, writer, and director from San Francisco, CA and a graduate of the American Conservatory Theater masters program. In New York City, he was a voice-over director for Don Buchwald and Associates where he directed such luminaries as Ally Sheedy, Mary Stuart Masterson, Billy Crudup, and Lisa Bonet, amongst others. Gabriel has taught acting for over 15 years and in Vancouver, he has been a core faculty member of the William Davis Centre for Actors Study at VanArts for the last 5 years. Gabriel believes acting is not a mimicry of life, and that fine acting is a potent blend of craft and animus.
Avan Jogia is a Vancouver Native who has been acting in the Industry for 12 years. After moving to the United States in his late teens, he landed various television roles leading such series as, Victorious, Twisted, the miniseries Tut alongside Ben Kingsley and the Gregg Araki directed show, Apocalypse Now. He has been in movies such as I Am Michael with James Franco and most recently Shaft with Samuel L. Jackson and the upcoming sequel to Zombieland. His directorial debut came in 2011 with the short film Alex, which was followed by the 2016 short series, Last Teenagers of the Apocalypse. He is planning his feature directorial debut with Doormouse.
